Microbiome

The microbiome has a crucial role in the health of human health. The genome of Gut Microbiome is 150 times larger than humans. The microbiome has a vast variety of the genome and can produce a different type of enzymes introducing the diverse pathways to obtain energy from the food and has a better energy-yielding mechanism compared with the host. The microbiome protects the host by producing various antibiotics and it also enhances the host immune system. The bacteria colonize the host after birth. The imbalance between the host- microbiome leads to diseases like Colorectal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Clostridium difficile Infection (CDI), Obesity. Microbiome. As this microbiome has an impact over many diseases, addressing the research in this field is necessary.
